Mother Chimeras is an ongoing project based on the appropriation, modification and reproduction of images collected from journals and articles from scientific experiments on gene editing and modification. Through this project I propose to bring two ideas into relation: to whom do images belong and to whom does life belong. With the intention of exploring questions related to the disproportionate appropriation of life in a biological, territorial and psychic sense by implementing technologies. Mother Chimeras explores the boundaries between the public and the private; the natural and the artificial; the communal, the individual and the limits of human intervention.
